Pathogen(s) causing disease:

Alfalfa mosaic virus

Symptoms:

Leaves have a mottled, bright yellow appearance and may be distorted. Plants appear stunted. Reduced pod numbers and seed discoloration.

Conditions:

Virus disease that is transmitted by the soybean aphid populations as the aphids feed on plant sap.

Management:

When scouting, check plants on the edge of fields and also those near alfalfa.
