UK Crop Protection Conference Announced

13 February 2012

UK - This year’s Crop Protection in Southern Britain conference, organised by AAB and supported by BCPC, will take place at the East of England Showground, Peterborough on 27 to 28 November.

The event will be held at a time when farm decisions are being made for 2013 and beyond and will provide an excellent platform for the dissemination of information on recent developments in crop production research and practices. In particular, the conference programme will focus on: crop management and breeding; disease control in cereals and other crops; weed control and crop nutrition.

Papers can now be offered for both days. Day One sessions will reflect BCPC’s interests in the application of science to crop protection, considering data from research that may influence field decision-making in the future. The sessions will run throughout the day with brief breaks in between and there will be a poster session later in the afternoon. Day Two will consist of strategic papers which have either a high biological science focus or address key practical issues in crop production.

All presentations and papers will be produced in a volume of the Aspects of Applied Biology Series and will be available to delegates at the conference. Abstracts of papers may be submitted online now via the AAB website here, the deadline for the call for papers is 12 April 2012.
