UK - The Oxford Farming Conference is to fund three students to attend Agritechnica in Hanover, Germany, as part of a joint scholarship with the young member German Agricultural Society, Young DLG.
Announced at the Oxford Farming Conference this week, the scholars will be attending the flagship German agricultural show in November and Young DLG has sent two board members to the Oxford conference.
Martin Davies, OFC director said: “The aim of the exchange we have started is to give young British and German agriculturalists a really valuable learning opportunity at the elading agricultural events in Germany and the UK and for them to meet like-minded people, from other countries, working in the farming sector.
In all 41 UK students attending the 2015 Oxford Farming Conference are being invited to apply for the trip to Agritechnica and will be selected on an assessment of their participation in various workshops at the conference.
