Russia Intervention Fund Sold 20.5 Thsd Tonnes Grains

RUSSIA - On March 30, 2011, the National Commodity Exchange provided regular exchange trades of grains from the state intervention reserve.

The Government sold 20.486 thsd tonnes of grains at the general sum of 123.989 mln RUR ($4.34 million USD).

During the whole auction period (February 4 â€" March 30), the Commodity Exchange sold 40.29 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat (of the harvest-2005) and 238.35 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat (2008); 193.73 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat (2008), 5.4 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat (2005) and 30.64 thsd tonnes of milling rye, group A (2008).

The Government sold 8.1 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2009.

By now, during whole days of exchange trades the Government sold 808.7 thsd tonnes of grains.

The average weighted price of 3-grade wheat of 2005 and 2008 origin, sold from the intervention fund, totaled 6627.8 RUR/t and 6666.7 RUR/t respectively, 4-grade wheat â€" 6202.5 RUR/t and 6377.7 RUR/t respectively, milling rye â€" 6182.1 RUR/t, 4-grade milling wheat (2009) â€" 6275 RUR/t.
