USDA Crop Progress - 30 April 2012
As at April 29, 53 per cent of US corn planting was complete, compared with 28 per cent planted at this time last year. Fifteen per cent of the corn crop has already emerged - at the same time last year only 9 per cent had emerged. This is well ahead of the 5-year average of 6 per cent.Soybean planting is progressing at 12 per cent planted compared with 6 per cent planted at the same time last year.
