No Increase for Cereal Growers in Levy Rate Changes

20 March 2012

UK - Levy rates to be charged to farmers, growers and others in the supply chain by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board have been approved by UK ministers.

Valid from April 1, the rates include a 3 per cent rise in the GB Potato levy, which moves to £42.62/ha for producers who grow 3ha or more.

This is the final increase in a three-year programme.

The five other sectors covered by the AHDB will see no changes.
