Cereals 2012: New Crop Protection Technology on Show

10 May 2012

UK - From the latest self-propelled sprayer to a set of nozzles to fit it, there’s something for every spraying need and budget at Cereals 2012.

The Sprays and Sprayers Arena, in association with Syngenta, features a wide range of innovations and application technology, with 50 of the latest self-propelled, mounted and trailed machines being demonstrated.

Among the range of technologies on show, variable rate spray applications are gaining interest, says Syngenta’s application specialist Tom Robinson: “These offer potentially big benefits, whether agronomic, environmental or in terms of cost, especially when linked with other areas, such as drilling, crop protection and seeds, all of which are gathering pace.”

Surrounding the arena about 40 specialist suppliers of sprayers and associated technology will be on hand, making it the best place to compare the sector’s latest offerings and to ensure increasingly expensive inputs are delivered as accurately and effectively as possible.

Several manufacturers are using Sprays and Sprayers at Cereals, which takes place on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 June at Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire, to launch new sprayers.

Around 27,000 visitors and 470 exhibitors are expected to attend Cereals 2012. Tickets cost £22 each (£18 for students) and are available by clicking here.
