CropWorld Global 2012 Gathers Pace
24 September 2012GLOBAL - A conference and exhibition to showcase the latest trends, thinking and technology in crop science and production has added three key organisations to its list of speakers and sponsors.
ODA, a leading international supplier of intelligence and information on the world’s grain markets, is to
be joined by trade association British Water and Marrone Bio Innovations as contributors to the
conference.
Leo von Kameke, market analyst with ODA, said the company was extremely proud and excited to be
participating in the conference.
“It is a very challenging time for agricultural producers impacted by rising commodity prices. With
growing pressure on margins and ever increasing volatility of international markets, it is vital to acquire
the necessary knowledge and skills to mitigate the risk and benefit from market opportunities,” he said.
The founder and CEO of Marrone Bio Innovations, Dr Pam Marrone, will be joining a panel to discuss
new technologies and innovations in the bio pesticide industry, areas for growth and the role they play
in sustainable agriculture.
“I am thrilled to be speaking at CropWorld at the most exciting time in agriculture in my 30-year career.
The changes and innovations are happening at such a rapid pace, so bringing thought leaders together
at CropWorld 2012 provides the opportunity to learn, network and reinvigorate,” said Dr Marrone.
British Water, as the leading trade association in its field, said it was very pleased to support the
conference and exhibition.
With the global challenges of water scarcity and food demand this international conference is
renowned for its networking, scientific debate and technological solutions that produce sustainable
innovations that help mankind secure a future,” the association commented.
CropWorld Global 2012 is being held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London, from the 6th
– 7th November.
CropWorld Director Terri D’Elia welcomed the additional speakers and sponsors to the event. “We
already have a very strong line-up of speakers at the conference, and we are extremely pleased to
welcome the support of ODA, Marrone Bio Innovations and British Water.
“The key debate around crop science and technology is about meeting rising demand for food coupled
with the rising cost of production, and land and water issues. CropWorld Global 2012 is the chance for
industry leaders to debate, inform and gather information about the way forward, so that the
challenges of the future can best be met,” she said.
