Minister Opens Soufflet Research Centre

FRANCE - French junior agriculture minister Guillaume Garor this week opened the new research centre for the agrifood company Soufflet in Nogent-sur-Seine (Quai Sarrail).

The Soufflet Group, which was founded in 1900 is one of the leading agrifood companies in France, being one of the main cereals companies in both France and Europe, the leading miller in Europe and the second largest malting company in the world.

The company has a turnover of €3.4 billion of which 60 per cent comes from outside of France, with exports of cereals, flour and malt products.

The company employs 4,100 people.
