Outstanding Participation at Agritechnica 2013

06 June 2013

GERMANY - DLG (German Agricultural Society) reports that 2,200 exhibitors from 46 countries have already registered for the international exhibition of agricultural machinery and equipment, Agritechnica, to be held in Hanover from 12 to 16 November 2013

This encouraging stand booking result is around 10 per cent higher than it was at the same time for the record event two years ago, says Agritechnica Project Manager Freya von Rhade.

The exhibition area has also grown by around 15 per cent compared with 2011 and now extends over 23 hectares.

Outstanding international participation

For the first time more than half of the exhibitors come from outside Germany. The largest contingents of the 1,100 international exhibitors registered so far, representing an increase of around 20 per cent compared with 2011, come from Italy (293 companies), the Netherlands (98), France (86), Austria (70), Turkey (68), China (61), Canada (47), Denmark (43), the United Kingdom (41), Poland (38) and Spain (35).

In addition official country pavilions from 19 countries have registered. DLG sees the high international participation to be a distinct sign of the increasingly global orientation of the companies and agribusiness with its worldwide interlinks.

The companies plan to use the Agritechnica platform specifically for developing new markets.
