Nextgen to Host Study Tour at Hever Castle, Kent

24 October 2013

UK - Nextgen – the largest event for energy generation - will be hosting a study tour at the prestigious Hever Castle, Kent, on Wednesday, 6th November 2013 in association with Douch Biomass.

The tour is part of a series of three study tours taking place around the UK over the next seven weeks. Places are limited and delegates are encouraged to register here.

With rising fuel prices, the cost of heating buildings is a considerable challenge. For owners of rural buildings and infrastructure, Biomass boilers offer a significant reduction in these costs.

The stunning Hever Castle, once the childhood home to Anne Boleyn, is opening its historic doors to delegates to show how this iconic 13th century building is utilising its resources to generate sustainable heating solutions from biomass.

During the Study Tour, delegates will hear from some of Britain’s foremost experts in Biomass installation and business planning, sourcing sustainable wood supply and RHI applications.

Delegates will also be provided with important information including how best to achieve heating cost reductions of up to 80 per cent; how to successfully apply for the Renewable Heat Incentive, to pay off capital costs and deliver future profits; how to manage a biomass boiler system efficiently over the long term; how to ensure secure sustainable supplies for the lifetime of your boiler system and how to reduce your carbon footprint and boost the local economy. Finally, delegates will have full access to Hever Castle for a site visit.

Event Director for nextgen, Chris Down, said: “We are looking forward to our latest Study Tour at Hever Castle. Not only is it an incredible setting; but it is home to some of the most interesting renewable energy installations. We are excited to show delegates how the Biomass and heating network project works within the Castle and also to share valuable knowledge from industry experts in this area. Our Study Tours always provide fantastic theoretical advice as well as hands on training which is important in our rapidly changing industry.”
