GERMANY - Bayer CropScience will showcase an impressive range of customer-oriented and sustainable solutions - including innovative seed treatment products, technologies and services - which deliver higher yields of core crops for worldwide farmers and seed companies at this year's International Seed Federation (ISF) Congress in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

As the main sponsor of the congress, Bayer CropScience will be most visible in St. George's Market â€" a historic refurbished Victorian market â€" from May 30 until June 1, 2011. Bayer CropScience experts will feature state-of-the-art seed treatment products such as Poncho®/Votivo® to protect corn, cotton and soybean plants against nematode damage, and cutting-edge seed treatment technology which add further value to the company's growing seeds and traits business.

"We offer our customers smart, sustainable solutions in order to fully exploit the yield potential of seeds", said Dr. Helmut Schramm, Head of the Seed Treatment Business at Bayer CropScience.

"We at Bayer CropScience are investing significantly in customer-based solutions in order to help safeguard harvests and increase yields of agricultural crops", added Martin Gruss, Head of Seed Treatment Portfolio.

The ISF congress in Belfast is one of the most important events for the global seed industry. With members in more than 70 countries on all continents â€" mainly national seed associations and seed companies â€" the ISF represents the majority of seed traders and plant breeders at a global level.
