Agritechnica Showcases Innovation at Every Turn

16 November 2011

GERMANY - Agritechnica, the world's largest agricultural equipment event, showcases European innovation and engineering in pavilion after pavilion after pavilion, reports Sarah Mikesell, TheCropSite senior editor live from the show in Hannover, Germany.

This show is not for the faint at heart - it's absolutely huge - boasting 20+ pavilions loaded with agricultural equipment and bioenergy companies. And the aisles were busting with farmers who wanted to sit in the cab of the biggest and newest tractors and harvesters available.

Massimo Ubiali, Marketing Lead for Same Deutz-Fahr, at the Agritechnica Show in Hannover, Germany.

Same Deutz-Fahr is one of 2,700 exhibitors who have come to show off their full line of equipment, including new product features.

"Cab comfort is one of our latest innovations," said Massimo Ubiali, Marketing Lead for Same Deutz-Fahr. "Our customers want to have the same comfort that they have in their car and we have made great strides in developing cab comfort to put us a step ahead in this area."

At Agritechnica, Ubiali said Same Deutz-Fahr is showcasing their new 250CVT with variable transmission, new Lamborghini line, 4 Equal-Drive Tractor and 190 hp 3B technology which meets the current emissions standards.

"The grower atmosphere here at Agritechnica is very positive," he said. "Despite the financial issues in the EU, the commodity and agricultural markets are booming, and we anticipate it will continue into 2012."
